Biography
Ann Hiloski-Fowler joined the Wells School of Music faculty in Fall of 2010. She studied musicology at Rutgers University with Floyd Grave, Andrew Kirkman, Douglas Johnson, and Antonious Bittmann. Currently, Ann is completing her dissertation at Rutgers University. Her topic deals with the description and classification of texture and orchestration in the symphonies of Anton Bruckner.
Ann is a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in musicology at Rutgers University. She received an MA in music history and an MM in performance from Rutgers and a BM in horn performance from the University of North Texas. While at Rutgers, Ann performed with the Rutgers University Orchestra at Lincoln Center in New York City, and performed on several recordings with the Rutgers Wind Ensemble. As a doctoral student in musicology at Rutgers, Ann was a graduate fellow and a contributing writer of the festival publication for the 2006 Shostakovich Festival at Rutgers. In 2007, she was a participant in the Graduate Student Workshop Program of the Society for Music Theory on the topic of sonata theory with James Hepokoski and Warren Darcy.
Prior to her time at WCUPA, Ann taught at Temple University, Widener University, and Saint Joseph's University (Pa.).
