Right-To-Know (Open Records)

Requests for public records from West Chester University of Pennsylvania of the State System of Higher Education under the Right-to-Know Law, as amended, 65 P.S. §§ 67.101 et seq., are subject to the guidelines of the Right-to-Know Policy .

Requests for information under the Right-to-Know Law must be submitted in writing to the designated Open Records Officer. Please use this online Right-to-Know Request Form when making a request.

*Right-to-Know Requests that are received at or after 4 pm Monday-Friday, or at any point on Saturday and Sunday, will be marked as received the following business day.

**For WCU students and former WCU students, if you are seeking your academic transcript, please visit the Registrar’s Office webpage for Transcript Requests. Transcripts will not be provided through a Right-to-Know Request.

The law also established an Office of Open Records. The mission of the Office of Open Records is to enforce the new Right-to-Know law and to serve as a resource to citizens, public officials and members of the media.
