Biography

My goal as a professor is to facilitate my students' learning and application of the fundamentals of clinical exercise physiology that they will use in their future careers with an emphasis on the prevention and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease and interventions that improve human health. I achieve this goal by integrating case studies and recent research to promote student application of lecture material, and flipping the classroom to encourage interactive discussion. While pursuing a degree in the exercise science field, students in my classes become immersed in the study of the cardiovascular system and leave with the tools to apply these concepts to their future careers.
