West Chester University's 65th annual High School Summer Music Camp will take place from Monday, July 6, 2026 through Saturday, July 11, 2026. The Camp offers resident and commuter options for students currently in grades 9 through 12 (2025 - 2026 School Year). Students have the opportunity to perform in a variety of large and small ensembles including wind ensemble, string orchestra, flute ensemble, clarinet ensemble, saxophone ensemble, double reed ensemble, brass ensemble, percussion ensemble and vocal ensemble. All ensembles perform at the end of the Camp, and all concerts are open to family and friends. Auditions for a solo recital are held at the beginning of the week.
The Camp's faculty consists primarily of WCU music professors, all of whom are active performing artists in the Philadelphia region. Each student receives two 30-minute private lessons and one studio masterclass on their primary instrument or voice. Students will also participate in music theory/ear training, college prep and audition prep classes.
Recreational activities include volleyball, a scavenger hunt, movie night, a pizza party and other organized evening activities.
