Scholastic Requirements for Psi Chi Membership
Undergraduate Students (For incoming FA 2016 or later)
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better
 - Minimum of 15 credit hours in Psychology with PSY GPA of 3.5 or better. These 15 credit
                                    hours must include the following courses:
                                    
                                    
- PSY 245 Statistics*
 - PSY 246 Research Methods
 - A minimum of 3 PSY courses taken at WCU including at least one course from Group A or B and at least one course from Group C, D, or E. (See Psych Major Advising Sheet for a list of courses).
 
 
*Or Department-approved equivalent
Graduate Students
Industrial/Organizational MA Scholastic Requirements
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours
 - Cumulative GPA of all graduate coursework must be 3.50 or above
 - A minimum of 15 credit hours of graduate Psychology courses with GPA of 3.75 or above
 - The minimum 15 credit hours must include the following five courses in the student's
                                    curriculum: 
                                    
                                    
- PSY602 Advanced Statistics
 - PSY560 Industrial Psychology
 - PSY562 Organizational Psychology
 - PSY524 Psychometrics
 - PSY569 Ethics and Professional Skills in Organizational Practice
 
 
General MA Scholastic Requirements
- Cumulative GPA of all graduate coursework must be 3.75 or above
 - Must have completed the following courses:
                                    
                                    
- PSY601 Introductory Statistics
 - PSY602 Advanced Statistics
 - PSY524 Psychometrics
 - PSY600 Research Report
 
 
Clinical Doctoral (PsyD) Scholastic Requirements
- Must have earned a minimum of 36 credit hours (inclusive of a maximum of 12 transferred credits)
 - Cumulative GPA of all graduate coursework completed at WCU must be 3.50 or above
 - A minimum of 15 credit hours of graduate Psychology courses with GPA of 3.75 or above
 - The minimum 15 credit hours must include the following  five courses in the student's

 - PSY705 Multicultural Clinical Psychology
 - PSY733 Psychology Clinical Practicum
