WEEKs of Welcome | Aug. 20 - Oct. 3
Weeks of Welcome (WoW) is a campus-wide series of events designed to help students find connections, belonging, and engage with campus life at WCU. Beginning with move-in and continuing through the first six weeks of the semester, WoW offers opportunities to meet new people, get involved, and build community. Whether you're new to WCU or returning for another year, there is something for every Golden Ram.
New Students | Aug. 20 - 21
Your first days at WCU are just the beginning of your Golden Ram experience. Before the rest of campus moves back in, there are a series of fun and engaging events designed just for you to meet other students, explore campus, and start building your community. We encourage you to continue engaging in Weeks of Welcome as it continues through October!
Returning Students | Aug. 22 - Oct. 3
Weeks of Welcome is not just for new students! Beginning August 22, all returning students are also invited to take part in the many events and activities planned that will connect you with new people, build on campus traditions, and help you continue to make the most of your WCU experience.
Weeks of Welcome 2026 Events
Events outlined in purple are considered signature events. These high-energy events and campus traditions are designed to help you celebrate, connect, and make the most of campus life. Events outlined in yellow are Find Your People (FYP) events. FYPs are smaller, low-pressure events centered around shared interests, hobbies, and identities where it's easy to meet people and build connections.
