HOW TO SEARCH
The automatic view will display all data that is available. Use the filters to explore data by year, level, college, and major. In some cases, no data or not enough data was gathered and outcomes will not be displayed. If this occurs, try changing the filters so they pull more broad data. Example: Search by 'All Years' vs. a specific year.
About the Experiential Learning (ExL) Dashboard
Each fall, students receive an invitation to complete the Experiential Learning Survey at WCU. Students sign a survey agreement that explains the purpose of the survey, confidentiality of the information they provide, risks/benefits of taking the survey, and that the survey is completely voluntary. Contact information for the survey coordinators is also provided in case students have questions or concerns.
The survey asks about students’ involvement in hands-on learning experiences over the course of the last year. Students who have been involved in ExL are asked follow up questions about their experience. At the end of the survey, students are asked about their plans for future involvement in experiential learning and any challenges that keep them from engaging in these experiences. On occasion, the survey may include additional questions that are connected to the topic of Experiential Learning (ExL).
The Experiential Learning (ExL) dashboard is the primary way the survey results are shared with the WCU community. All of the percentages are rounded to a whole number, and therefore, may not add up to 100% due to rounding. In some cases, no data or not enough data was provided and therefore, some outcomes will not be displayed.
