Fueling WCU Vehicles

University vehicles must be fueled or charged at university-owned and operated sites whenever possible. Other fuel purchases may be done with a Wright Express (WEX) fuel credit card. Motor Pool staff are available to assist during normal business hours.

Off Campus Fueling for WCU Rental Vehicles

WCU rental vehicles have Wright Express (WEX) purchase cards assigned to them for off campus fueling.

  • WEX cards should only be used to fuel the WCU vehicle they are assigned to; do not use a WEX card for any other vehicle.
  • WEX cards should not be used to fuel any privately-owned vehicle or personally owned fuel can.
  • WEX cards require a PIN or Driver Number to function, the PIN is listed on the Motor Trip Sheet.
  • Turn in all receipts for WEX card purchases with the Motor Pool Trip Sheet.

Charging Assigned WCU EV Vehicles on Campus

WCU assigned EV vehicles are charged at the ChargePoint station located at 201 Carter Dr.

Directions on how to use ChargePoint

  • Follow directions on the ChargePoint information sheet.
  • ChargePoint access cards should only be used to charge the WCU vehicle they are assigned to; do not use the access card for any other vehicle.
  • Once vehicle is charged, park the vehicle in a non-EV charging space so other EV vehicles can use the space as needed.

Fueling Assigned WCU Vehicles on Campus

WCU assigned vehicles are fueled at the self-service gas station located at the Maintenance Garage.

Directions on how to use FuelMaster ProKee System

  • Follow directions on screen or the FuelMaster ProKee information sheet.
  • ProKees should only be used to fuel the WCU vehicle they are assigned to; do not use a ProKee for any other vehicle.
  • Report missing ProKees to the Motor Pool Office.
  • ProKees should not be used to fuel any privately-owned vehicle or personally owned fuel can.
  • Use the appropriate issued ProKee for filling cans that fuel campus equipment or tractors. Do not use a ProKee assigned to a vehicle.
  • Check fluids – including engine oil.

Remember SAFETY FIRST!

  • Do not smoke while fueling.
  • Turn off ignition.
  • Maintain full contact between the nozzle seal and the fill spout to reduce vapor releases into the air.

In Case of Spill or Emergency

  • Contact the Motor Pool Office during normal business hours (M-F 7a-3p)
  • After hours contact Public Safety x3311
  • Use Spill Kit located next to the dispensers.
  • Use the Emergency Shut Down on ProKee reader or building wall if needed.
